Throwing Cream Pies for Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion

Sixth grade science students at the Sussex County Charter School for Technology have been throwing cream pies at their principal and science teacher, rolling basketballs into water bottles, and playing a roller coaster video game throughout December.

They were not sent to Mr. Baldini’s office or given detentions, because they were learning about Physics and Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion.

The Charter School’s hands-on learning environment and technology focus made learning Physics fun and engaging for students in December. They were also challenged to demonstrate they understand Newton’s Laws by explaining them through songs, raps, poems, comic strips, and 3-D models.

We can’t wait to see what mess the sixth graders will make in January when they learn about Chemistry!
